Hello! My name is Vicki Jukes. I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in CA in 2008. I began working in this field in 2003 as a student intern. I have had the privilege of working in a variety of settings with a diverse client population. I opened a private practice in 2014. I have been able to help many individuals and families find creative solutions for the problems facing them. I have helped both child and adult victims of abuse and domestic violence recover from the trauma. I have worked with children and families involved in foster care and Child Protective Services. I have worked with couples to increase communication skills and foster better understanding. I have worked in an inpatient mental hospital and a teen residential treatment setting. I have worked in schools and community agencies. I feel each location and population I have worked in has shaped me and provided me tools to be a stronger and more empathic therapist.
I have a somewhat eclectic approach to therapy. I believe each person is unique so the treatment options for each person should be unique. I firmly believe that each person is the author of his or her own story. At times all authors become victims of writer’s block and seem to become stuck and unsure of what direction to take their story. My role as a therapist is to listen openly and honestly offer a different perspective to help you find your ending when the uncertainty sets in.
I am moving my office to TX in May 2021. Stay tuned for updates.
